Impatient

Ok, I am impatient. Right after I posted the last message, I called the doctor. The nurse listened to all of my concerns. She decided that I would need to come in and talk to a doctor. So, we have an appointment on December 29th to talk to the doctor about my concerns. Good news, she didn't make me feel like an idiot or a bad mom.

Here is something to ponder:

Why can I get in for an appointment on the 29th of December, but her checkup isn't until the 21st of January. They told me that at the 9 month checkup there isn't any shots, so why wouldn't we be able to take care of both things at one time? I don't know, but when I asked her if we could do the 9 month checkup at the same time, she said no. Must have something to do with getting another co-pay, I guess.

I just wanted to let you know that Logan was the same way! Slower actually!
He didn't crawl PERIOD...not one little tiny bit until he was 11 months old. And there was NO WAY he was bearing weight on his legs.
He took his first steps when he was 15 1/2 months old.
And the doctor said while it was on the high end, it was still in normal age limits.
I'm sure that doesn't make you feel any better, but just to let you know that I remember having concerns too! especially when many children are walking at 9 months old and my BIG son couldn't even crawl!
Let me tell you though, what I'd give for a DAY of the putting him down in one spot and knowing he wasn't moving! heehee!
Let us know what the doctor says, OK?
