Taking Forever!!
It seems like this garage is taking forever to build. Maybe it is just that when we originally talked to the builder, he said one week for the concrete and one week to build the garage. Well, since they didn't start until the beginning of November, then we started to get hit with winter and snow and there have been days where they couldn't work on it. I just thought that definitely by December we would have been parking in a garage and we are not.
I still feel like they have a good 3 days full of work. They still have to do the shingles on the roof, put the siding up, put the windows and doors on and drywall the inside of it. There might even be more, but those are the most obvious things to me that still need to be done. Then, this company isn't doing the electric. Gary and my father-in-law are supposed to do it after the garage is done. But, Gary's dad just found out that he has to have surgery done and who knows if he will be able to do it anytime soon. I can picture me 9 months pregnant trying to lift the garage door by myself holding Alyssa in the middle of winter.
So, since the garage isn't done, we haven't moved anything out of the spare room, which is the room that we planned on making up for Alyssa. I really wanted to have her in the new room in January. I know that I have to be dreaming because with the garage not being done and Christmas around the corner, I know that we won't even be able to start on the room until January. I just hope the transition for Alyssa is a smooth one.
This is a picture of the garage on Tuesday. They came back on Thursday and did more, but I haven't gotten a picture of that yet. I was so lazy today and didn't want to go outside in the freezing cold.
And here is a picture of Alyssa with daddy's Browns hat on.

I am very impatient too! When I get my mind set on something and it doesn't work out as planned I get so aggrivated!! Good Luck, I hope it gets done sooner then later!
add me to the impatient list.
And how cute is Alyssa? I can't believe how grown up she looks, even compared to a month or so ago.
Oh I have got to get a browns hat for Liam! Dave would flip!
You just gave me my idea for Dave's Christmas! I couldn't think of anything! But Browns and Indians stuff for the boy would be perfect!!
Thank you!!!
I'm feeling you on the garage thing. Its been since September since we were working on the kitchen and there's no installation date in sight...just boxes taking up my house.
I'm back. Do you know an online site where I can get browns stuff?
if so, email me kfoisel@avc.edu
Thanks!
Aw, she looks adorable! Those builders are always WAY too optimistic with their timelines, especially during this time of year. I'm sure everything will work out with the room, you have plenty of time (I know you're sitting there reading this going "Yeah, right, whatever crazy lady!").
