Where does the time go??

Lots to talk about today, so bear with me (well if anyone is still around to read...LOL).

First of all this was my first week back to work. I went for a full day on Tuesday and Thursday. Tuesday was rough. I had tears in my eyes and knots in my stomach. I had to sit in the parking lot for like 10 minutes before I was able to actually go in. The day went incredibly slow and I had a headache by 10:00 am. I missed my girls terribly and I could hardly smile when everyone welcomed me back.

Thursday was better, not great, but better. My MIL came over in the morning. She let Alyssa sleep until she woke up and then took the girls to her house. Then she even came back to our house for Alyssa to take her nap here and so I didn't have to go and pick them up. That part was awesome. I really liked not having to take the extra time to take and pick them up. I was able to start dinner earlier and get things cleaned up a bit before Gary came home. My mom said she would pick the girls up on Tuesday too, but I would have to pick them up after work. That is fine because the part I hated the most was waking Alyssa up. She is a good sleeper and I hated to interrupt it.

--------

Morgan turned 12 weeks old on Tuesday! Unbelievable that she could already be here for that long. (Her 3 month birthday isn't until June 7th though). She is smiling, and starting to make those cute little baby noises! She is such a wonderful baby now. After we switched her formula, she has been such a happy baby!! She is very observant and her right hand is her most favorite toy! She also likes sitting under her butterfly toy and look at the dangling rattles.

We moved Morgan into her own room on her 12 week birthday. It was hard for me. With Alyssa, she was out of our room by 6 weeks! I was pretty adamant about making sure she wanted to be in her crib and room. This time, I wanted to savor every moment. What if she is the last one?!? I didn't want to rush her out. She was starting to get a little cramped in her bassinet, so I knew it was time to move her. She did wonderful. She still slept through the night which I was really worried about.

Yep, I said it, SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT!!! She had been sleeping through the night since she was 4 weeks old! She doesn't really have a daytime schedule, but she usually will have her last bottle between 9-11 and then go to bed for the night. She usually doesn't start to wake up until about 7. I LOVE it! I hope I didn't just jinx it though!

----------

Alyssa is continuing on her path of being such a smart little girl. Not only can she recognize all her letters and numbers up to 20, but she knows her shapes and colors now! Her favorite shows lately are still Sesame Street and now Teletubbies. I really could do without the "tubbies", but she begs for them and her face lights up when I turn them on. I think it is hilarious when I see her laughing at a show because they did something funny. She is particular on what diaper she wears. See, she wears the Pampers Cruisers that have the Sesame Street characters on them, so she has to pick out which diaper she wants to wear. Elmo, Ernie, Big Bird or Grover. Elmo and Ernie are the favorites. If she doesn't get to pick her diaper, she will refuse to be changed. Strange girl!

Her new favorite toy is this sandtable my sister bought for her. She wants to go outside everyday to play with her "box" (for sandbox). She loves it outdoors and I love to see her out there. Plus it exhausts her and she will take an awesome nap!

--------

I think that is all for now. I need to try to post more often, so my posts are not like novels! I also know that I say that all of the time, but it still doesn't happen!

Wow, your house sounds allot like mine!! lol Busy busy busy. I wish my little guy would sleep through the night. He goes down between 9 and 10 and gets up around 2 or so then sleeps again till 6. Not bad, but not a great sleep for me! lol It sounds like you are adjusting to work again, I hope it goes smoothly and you start to feel better about being there. Alyssa sounds like such a smart little girl!!!

Just a quick note, I am not blogging anymore for a while. I will still be reading everyone's, and commenting, but if you go to my family life link, it's not there anymore!!

Sounds like life is GOOD for you--like the girls are each at a wonderful stage.

My prayers are with you as you adjust to being back at work.
