She's a Big Girl Now!!

My BIG GIRL peed in the potty for the first time on Friday!! She didn't only pee one time, she peed 5 times!! Yay Alyssa!!!

Since we had no plans on Friday, I decided when she woke up on Friday morning, we would go bottomless all day (except for nap time). I put Alyssa's potty in the living room, so she could get more comfortable with it. She could sit on it and play or sit and watch TV. She would sit on it occasionally.

For the first three or so hours, nothing. I kept asking her if she needed to pee-pee. She would keep telling me "no". I was starting to think she was holding it, just because she didn't want to pee on the potty. Then she was playing, she looked up at me and said "Oh" and ran to the potty. She went pee-pee!! She was so excited, I was so excited. We danced and cheered. It was great!!

After her nap we left her bottomless again. Daddy came home and asked her to go potty for him to see. She didn't right away, but then she ran to me with a diaper begging for me to put the diaper on her. I didn't, but sat her on the potty and read her the "It's Potty Time" book a few times. She went pee again!! This time Daddy gave her a few marshmallows and she got so excited she went to the potty and did it again two more times. (She was pushing really hard...LOL). She went one more time before bed and once again begged for the diaper on.

Yesterday we left her bottomless in the morning before nap and she peed one time. We had a birthday party to go to, so we put her in a diaper. I kept asking about the potty, but she kept saying no.

I told Gary that I'd like her to be bottomless any time she is home. This is our first step in the right direction and I'm so happy!! Go Alyssa, you're a big girl now!!

Teeth

I'm so irritated that one of my fillings fell out and today I have to go get it replaced. I hate the dentist. I hate everything about it. I hate the noise, I hate the shots, I hate the smell. I just hate it!! And to go back and get something RE-DONE. Pisses me off. I know your "suppose" to get your fillings replaced, but I hate that I HAVE to do it right now. Every time I drink or eat something I have to tilt my head so that it doesn't touch my tooth. Sucks!

Morgan got her first tooth!! I know that was miserable for her and I feel so bad. It is officially through though. We can see it and feel it!! My baby girl is growing up way too fast and I can't stand it!!

I also think Alyssa is cutting her two year molars. Yes, my house is very pleasant these days. Alyssa's molars seem to be taking their good 'ole time though and we get days where she is so crabby and drooly and then nothing the next day. I wish they would just get here and be done.

Ok, I'm done with my rant of teeth for now!!

It's been busy around here

It has been so busy lately. I have so much that I want to write about and keep up on and I find myself having less and less time to blog. I haven't been keeping up on blogs like I used to either. I hope I can turn that around, because I miss all my blogger babes!!

So, what have I been up to in the past month...

Well our trip was AWESOME!! The trip went very well. Thank god for that DVD player!! That was the only way we would have survived the trip with a 2 year old, that's for sure! Morgan did great. She slept pretty much the whole way there and the whole way back. She wasn't able to see the DVD player, but she did so good even without it!

The trip itself was amazing. The weather was beautiful. Alyssa LOVED the beach. It was one giant sand box for her. Morgan sat well in her travel bounce chair and got to chill in the shade under our umbrella. Morgan LOVED the pool. She had one of those intertube floaty things and she had so much fun in the water. They had a lazy river ride at our hotel and Morgan would take a nap while I held her and we traveled around and around the lazy river. I never realized how much you really need a vacation with your family. It was so great to get away from reality and re-connect with your family.

When we came back we had to start planning for my dads big 5-0 surprise birthday party. I have wanted to write about all my ups and downs, stresses and irritations with the party, my family and most of all, my step-mom. But, the party was this past Saturday, my dad was totally surprised and even weepy. It was GREAT. He really deserved it and it was awesome that we pulled it off for him. So, now that it is over, it makes all my whining, complaining and outright bitching unnecessary on this blog.

Since we came back from vacation, Alyssa has been the temper-tantrum queen. She is throwing them mostly when she doesn't get her way. I hate those damn tantrums and wish she would get over them already. I know she is only 2 1/2, but they suck!

Morgan is getting big. Too fast! She just turned 7 months on Saturday. She is developing the cutest little personality. She loves to watch her big sister and she gets this huge grin on her face when she does. It is amazing to see the connection between the two of them already. I know Alyssa bugs the shit out of Morgan, but Morgan is usually OK with that. I hope Morgan can always be that laid back...LOL.

Well, I gotta get going and give the girls a bath. Yes, finally Morgan is big enough for them to have baths together. I LOVE that!!

I hope that my posts will not be so few and far between. I really want to keep up on everyone's life and little ones.
