How can it be??

My little girl is THREE!!

Today is Alyssa's 3rd birthday. I can't even believe that she is a whole three years old.

Later on we are having her party at Chuck E Cheese and she is so excited. This is all she has talked about everyday since Morgan's birthday. I'm excited too!! Last night I decorated an Ariel cake with my friend and it turned out AWESOME!! Alyssa is going to be so excited to see Ariel for her cake.

Today Gary took the day off and we are going to head out and just spend a nice family day together until we have to head out to Chuck E Cheese. And that means I need to get my butt off of the computer so that we can start our day!!

Pictures to come soon, I promise!!

The Big Bash

Morgan's party went incredibly smooth and I didn't even stress about it once the entire party. (Which is a major accomplishment for me).

Here's mommy and the birthday girl pre-cake.

I can't believe she kept the crown on. I was so excited. Alyssa ripped it off in 2 seconds flat. Thank goodness I got to use it for a second time!!

Morgan did SO well throughout the entire party. She didn't get fussy even once. I thought she'd be overwhelmed by the amount of people or the excitement, but she did great!! She was happy the entire time and even for skipping her afternoon nap, didn't get crabby about it either. (Must have been all the sugar).

Morgan really enjoyed her cake. She didn't seem to want to get too messy on her face, but she had fun playing with the icing.

Alyssa got a little upset when it was cake time. I think she couldn't handle all the attention being on Morgan. Plus it was CAKE, which is Alyssa's favorite, so I'm sure that also played into why she was so upset. After Morgan had her fun with the cake, we let Alyssa stick her fingers into it a few times. That made her happy again!!!

Morgan had a great time opening her presents!! We didn't get overwhelmed with toys, but we got a lot of clothes. It will be nice that Morgan has her own summer wardrobe instead of having all of Alyssa's hand-me downs.

And the birthday cake. I designed it myself to go along with her theme. It turned out wonderful!! (I didn't make it though, I'm not THAT talented...LOL).

Overall it was a wonderful day and I'm VERY sad that it is over.

Since Alyssa's birthday is a hop-skip-and jump away, I've been busy making up her invitation and need to get them out in the mail. She is SUPER excited to have her party at Chuck E. Cheese. We have to talk about it numerous times a day.

My little girl is ONE!

My baby girl turned the big number 1 today. I can't believe this year has flown by so fast. She doesn't even seem like she should be one. She still is in 6-12 month clothes, she doesn't move a lot (although she is starting to scoot on her butt...so cute!), she is just small to me. She just CAN'T possibly be one.

But, according to the date, she is.

Having a baby while having a toddler makes time go by so much faster than normal, doesn't it??

She is doing some damn cute stuff though. She is babbling a lot and actually says a few words. She says ut-oh (at the right time), ducky, doggie, dada, mama, kitty. I keep thinking she is saying so much more. I could have swore she picked up Alyssa's little Cinderella doll and said "rella". Now, my ears could be playing tricks on me, but I could've swore!

She is eating a lot of regular food now. I had Alyssa eating baby food forever and I swear up and down that is the reason why she is such a picky eater. So, this time when they gave me the go-ahead at 9 months to feed her our food, I did. She eats more than Alyssa usually.

She is now attending PT to help build her muscles and get her going with her gross motor skills. I know, call me crazy for saying this, but I'll be excited for her to crawl.

Morgan's party is this Sunday. It's going to be a huge birthday bash with over 80 people on the guest list. It is insane for a 1st birthday party, but our family is enormous and we did it for Alyssa, so we feel the need to also have a big party for Morgan too. Wish me luck that I don't need to check into a mental clinic before this party, because I'm already feeling the stress!
