My baby girl turned the big number 1 today. I can't believe this year has flown by so fast. She doesn't even seem like she should be one. She still is in 6-12 month clothes, she doesn't move a lot (although she is starting to scoot on her butt...so cute!), she is just small to me. She just CAN'T possibly be one.
But, according to the date, she is.
Having a baby while having a toddler makes time go by so much faster than normal, doesn't it??
She is doing some damn cute stuff though. She is babbling a lot and actually says a few words. She says ut-oh (at the right time), ducky, doggie, dada, mama, kitty. I keep thinking she is saying so much more. I could have swore she picked up Alyssa's little Cinderella doll and said "rella". Now, my ears could be playing tricks on me, but I could've swore!
She is eating a lot of regular food now. I had Alyssa eating baby food forever and I swear up and down that is the reason why she is such a picky eater. So, this time when they gave me the go-ahead at 9 months to feed her our food, I did. She eats more than Alyssa usually.
She is now attending PT to help build her muscles and get her going with her gross motor skills. I know, call me crazy for saying this, but I'll be excited for her to crawl.
Morgan's party is this Sunday. It's going to be a huge birthday bash with over 80 people on the guest list. It is insane for a 1st birthday party, but our family is enormous and we did it for Alyssa, so we feel the need to also have a big party for Morgan too. Wish me luck that I don't need to check into a mental clinic before this party, because I'm already feeling the stress!
